Status on a property that was sold off

I used to live in Dubai and I purchase a property. My job was terminated and I left the country in 2008. Later, they approached me to pay and I explained I can travel as I lost my job and income. I had a security check definitely without a balance as i left and all my accounts were closed. They kept coming after me for years but I have not heard anything from them lately. I just wanted to know my status. They already sold the property.
