On 21 May 2018, a delegation from the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) headed by its Secretary General, Mr Wang Chengjie visited our offices to meet with our partner from Deheng Law Offices, Mr William Jia and our Head of International Practice, Mr Eric Teo. The delegation comprised of members of CIETAC and prominent arbitrators and lawyers from China were on a 3-day visit to Dubai. Their objective was to have dialogues and exchange views with Dubai based arbitration institutes and arbitration practitioners to foster potential cooperation.
The following day, Mr Wlliam Jia and Mr Eric Teo organised a trip for CIETAC’s delegation to visit DIFC and meet with the DIFC-LCIA Arbitration Centre. The meeting with DIFC-LCIA Arbitration Centre was attended by the Centre’s Chief Executive and Registrar, Mr Alec Emmerson and Mr Robert Stephen respectively.
